Reflection #1:
I agree with this statement. It is actually not just the curriculum, but also those who require me to teach to standardized tests and not provide necessary computer access to deliver my curriculum. The intentions look good on paper, but without adequate tools to instruct, I then become the disabled teacher. When asked what I do when students do not “get it,” the answer is supposed to be reteach it. When asked if I’ve covered everything to prepare kids for the final, the answer better be “yes.” Damned if I do. . . Damned if I don’t.
